DISABILITY NURSE SUPPORTED ACCOMMODATION

How It Works

Respite Care

Respite for children and adults with high complex needs requiring 24/7 monitoring, including:

  • In-Home Respite Care: Care provided in the child’s home by trained support workers.
  • Residential Respite Care: Temporary stays in our houses located in Bibra Lake and Kelmscott, featuring structured activities and a nurturing environment.
  • Community-Based Respite: Engaging outings and programs in the community.
  • Crisis Respite Care: Immediate accommodation and support during emergencies or crisis situations, providing families with urgent care solutions.
  • Weekend or Short-Term Respite: Short stays that provide caregivers with a break while children enjoy a change of environment.
  • Day Respite Programs: Care during the day, allowing parents to attend to responsibilities.
  • Specialized Medical Respite: High-quality care for children with complex medical needs from nurses and trained support staff.

Funding Options

Children may be funded under:

  • NDIS: National Disability Insurance Scheme (we are fully registered).
  • Department of Communities Funding
  • Private Funding

If NDIS funding is not available, we can tailor a quote to meet your specific needs, ensuring that every child receives the care they deserve.

Transportation Services

To facilitate appointments and outings, we have a wheelchair-accessible van available for transportation. This ensures that children in our care can easily get to and from medical appointments, recreational activities, and other necessary outings.

Locations

  • Bibra Lake: Our fully wheelchair-accessible house features comfortable accommodations and a safe outdoor space for children to explore.
  • Kelmscott: Another wheelchair-accessible facility designed to meet the needs of children with complex requirements.
  • Midland: While not wheelchair accessible, this location provides quality care for families who do not require accessibility features.

Eligibility
We cater to any children who need planned or emergency respite care. Our services are designed to support children with complex medical needs who require ongoing supervision and care. An intake assessment ensures we meet each child’s specific requirements and can tailor our support to their individual needs.
